Alberta Davis Davis was born in Craven County, North Carolina on September 23, 1913 to the late Ida and James Henry Davis, Sr. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Davis.
Alberta was educated in the Pamlico County School System in North Carolina. At an early age she received Jesus as her Saviour and was chosen by her peers to be a Bible Class Teacher.
Later in life, she received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and worked with the Youth Department, Communion, and Sunday School Departments. She was a member of the Church of God and True Holiness in Little Salisbury and later joined the Philadelphia Church of Christ Disciples in Cape Charles until her death.
Alberta enjoyed preparing for and hosting fellowships and noon day prayer in her home, counseling others, and always left everyone with her signature scripture, Proverbs: 3:5-6, Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding; in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy path.
