Annie Mae was educated in the Northampton County Public School System and later worked at Kane & Miller (Webster's) for many years. In 1948 she and Harold Lee Dixon were married and were blessed with eight children.
Annie Mae accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at an early age and stood on the word of God the rest of her life. Her daily confession of faith was, "The Lord is my Shepard, I shall not want. "She joined Mt. Sinai Gospel Tabernacle in 1945, pastored by the late Bishop Estella D. Smith, currently under the leadership of Bishop Helen O. Gillis. She served here fatihfully (until her death failed) on the Mother's Board, as the Chaitperson of the Deaconess Board and as a member of many committees. She was a true worshipper. The family often heard her say, "We had a time today!" She loved the Lord and the church and served with great honor, humility and pride whenever she prepared the church for Communion services.
