IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anthony
Holley
May 19, 1962 – November 30, 2024
Anthony Holley, affectionately known as Hucklebuck or Buck, was born on May 19, 1962, to Henry Holley and the late Ella Mae Marrow, who was the love of his life, in Northampton County. He peacefully passed away on November 30 at Johnston-Willis Hospital.
Buck attended Northampton High School and worked at KMC and C&D Seafood. Later in life, he enrolled in Keystone Pennsylvania Job Corps. After completing the program, Buck began working at Mayflower Moving Company in Connecticut and then served as a Warehouse Supervisor at Matrix International for several years. In 2005, he returned to Virginia, where he continued his career with Feed More Food Bank and subsequently with Chesterfield Food Bank. Buck also worked as a supervisor at Maruchan Virginia Inc. for several years until he recently fell ill.
He had a deep appreciation for women, took pride in his appearance, and cherished spending time with family. Making his mother happy brought him joy, along with playing spades and dominoes, visiting the casinos, and enjoying his nephew Boot's fried fish. Buck was well-regarded as a great listener, friend, and confidant, and he served as the godfather to three wonderful great-nieces. He loved spending time with his son, Anthony, who affectionately referred to him as "Papaduke".
Initially, he attended African Baptist Church in Cheriton, Virginia, before becoming a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Varina, Virginia, under the leadership of Pastor James Sailes.
He leaves behind cherished memories, including one son, Anthony Spady (with Shirley Spady); one daughter, Ivyonna Bundick, whom he raised as his own; his father, Henry Holley; and four sisters: Malinda Marrow of North Chesterfield, Virginia; Deborah Strand (Nathaniel) of Chester, Virginia; Mechele Marrow of Cheriton, Virginia; and Heather Holley of Allentown, Pennsylvania. He also leaves behind a special friend, Caleather Kimberly Jerman of Richmond, Virginia, along with a host of aunts, uncles, five nieces, ten nephews, and many great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
