Arthur was a member of Gospel Temple Church for over fifty years. He served as a fatihful deacon under the leadership of Elder Marian Cottrell, his wife and pastor. He also served as a trustee and whatever else he could find his hands to do. He was faithful and had the gifts of helps. It was a pleasure and a blessings to hear him sing, "Blessed Assurance, There's a storm out on the ocean, and Reach out and touch the Lord". He was full of tears and joy every Sunday as he clapped & waved away in his favorite chair. Monday night, April 7, 2014, approximately 8:45 pm. the Lord decided to call his soldier home while on his knees praying to his God.
