IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beverly Ann
Allen
July 2, 1960 – October 9, 2019
Beverly Ann Allen was born July 2, 1960, the youngest of seven children born to the late Timothy W. Allen and Lillie Mae Allen in Eastville, Virginia. She departed this life on October 9, 2019 at Bendaub Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Bell , as she was fondly called by her family and friends, attended the Northampton County Public Schools and graduated in 1978 from Northampton Senior High School. After graduation, she went to National Business College in Roanoke, VA where she received an Associate Degree in Secretarial Science. After graduation, she went to work in Elgin, Illinois. She was employed for over 34 years with Northrop Grumman and only stopped when her health began to fail.
Bell
met many friends while living in Illinois and would bring them home for the Allen's Family Reunion. Thank God, she made it home for the 45th Annual Family Reunion this year. She was so happy this summer. Our circle has been broken; a link is missing, but heaven has gained an angel.
Bell
was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Timothy W. Allen, Jr, Herbert Q. Allen, a sister, Shirley D. Allen and a nephew, Timothy R. Allen.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three brothers, Anthony Allen (Gerta) Richmond, VA, Gary Allen (Carolyn) Eastville, VA and Alfonso Allen (Sylvia), Tappahannock, VA; two God children, Maurice West, Jr. and Mark West; two uncles, Cullen Allen, Bear, DE and Henry Allen, Columbus, MD; two aunts, Elsie Allen, Eastville, VA and Annie Ross, Cinnamonson, NJ; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Allen, Richmond, VA and Martha Allen, Philadelphia, PA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her special friends from her high school days, Sharon Brickhouse Martin, Patricia Fitchett Simpkins, Annette Gray Thomas, Katie Watkins, Diane Spann, and Jackie Grant. Missing her also are her caregivers, Atoy Gray and Rochelle Wiggins.
Funeral Services Saturday, October 26, 2019, Bethel A.M.E. Church, Eastville, VA with Rev. Horace Cross, Officiating.
