Obituary

Camisha Mignon Savage-Bailey was born on August 15, 1972 in Northampton County to McKinley Bundick, Sr. and Eleanor Savage. She went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 12, 2010.

Camisha was reared by the late John Henderson and Mary Maggielean Savage. She was reared in a God-fearing home. At an early she was baptized and joined African Baptist Church and served as a member of the Youth and Adult Choirs and Usher Board. Camisha was gifted in singing. She always made her grandparents happy because she enjoyed using her gift. Many people in the public school system, various churches and surrounding areas loved her singing. In her youth, Mignon as she was affectionately called, loved literature, poetry and volleyball.

Camisha graduated from Northampton High School in 1990. She was blessed with scholarships to attend various colleges, but because her grandparents, sister and brother needed her, she remained on the Eastern Shore. She cared for her grandparents until their death and reared her sister and brother. She attended the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and the Eastern Shore Community College majoring in English. She was also a certified nursing assistant.

On January 7, 2004, Camisha married Elder Norman Bailey, II. After marriage, she dedicated her time to God and her family. Camisha and Norman have six children. She joined Mount Zion Holy Church in Onancock under the pasturage of Pastor Blanch Dix where she served faithfully as president of the Missionary Day, Church Secretary, Sunday school teacher and praise and worship leader.

Camisha was also predeceased by her paternal grandfather, George Bundick.

Camesha leaves cherished memories with her husband, Elder Norman K. Bailey, II, six children, E'Wayna, Kennis, Kenton, Shamar, KJ and Kenyona; parents, McKinley Bundick, Sr. (Bernice), Hampton, VA and Eleanor Savage, Philadelphia, PA; three brothers, Nakia Savage, Williamsport, PA, McKinley, Jr. and Jordan Bundick, Hampton, VA; two sisters, Eishaw Meade, MD and Charlotte Harmon, Melfa, VA; grandmother, Mary Bundick, Painter, VA; father and mother-in-law, Norma & Patricia Bailey, Fairview, VA; one sister-in-law, Gwendolen Bailey, Fairview, VA; three brothers-in-law, Jonathan (Deborah) Bailey, Birdsnest, VA, Matthew (Andrea) Bailey, Pocomoke, MD and Robert E. Meade, Jr., Brooklyn, NY, a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
