Obituary
Charles B. Ames entered into eternal rest on March 12, 2013. Born in Northampton County, Virginia, he was the son of James Russell Ames Sr. and the late Virginia Ames.
Charles attended Northampton High School in Eastville, VA. He later joined the United States Army Reserve for 4 years in which he obtained an honorable discharge. After his military service he located to New York where he started in the security industry and then began a long career with the Local Union 101, Transport Workers of America through the Brooklyn New York Company National Grid.
Left to cherish his memory are his father James Russell Ames Sr; sisters Ernestine Ames, Geraldine Washington; nephew Thomas Ames Jr. and a host of other relative and friends.
