Charles William Butler was born in Washington, DC on May 23, 1945 to the late Jessie Washington Butler and the late John Robert Butler. He was preceded in death by his brother, Vernon Butler and his sisters, Margaret Butler, Gloria Winston-Smith and Celia Winston.
Charles, departed this life on Monday, May 2013. He was educated in the Washington, DC School System. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Dorothy Mae Saunders on November 7, 1977 in Elliott City, Maryland. They enjoyed 35 years together.
Charles came to Cape Charles, Virginia in the year of 1979 to make a home with his wife. His career choice was to cook at various restaurants and motels in the area. He loved to listen to music from the Motown era and he loved to have family to visit and have a good time.
