Obituary
Mr. Charles Walter Smith - 85 of Cheapside, Virginia passed away Thursday, December 17, 2009 at his residence.
He was born in Northampton County, VA to the late George Smith and Helen Powell Smith. He was married to the late Mable Glass Smith.
A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Mt. Sinai Gospel Tabernacle in Fairview, VA with Elder Lummie Smith officiating.
Family and friends will meet 4-6 o'clock p.m. Saturday at Gray's Funeral Home in Cape Charles.
The interment will be in the White Garden Cemetery in Philadelphia, PA.
Mr. Smith leaves to cherish his memories: Five children: Charles Smith-Harrisburg, PA, Rudolph Smith-Upper Darby, PA, Reginald Smith-Peachtree City, GA, Valerie Smith-Raleigh, NC, and Beverly Smith-Raleigh, NC, A stepson John Glass-Danville, VA,five grandchildren: Reginald Smith II-Philadelphia,PA, Eric Smith-Atlanta, GA, Alexandra Smith-Peachtree City, GA, Jason Coleman-Philadelphia, PA, and Ortez Glass-North Lauderdale, FL, two great -Grandchildren: Reginald Smith III-Philadelphia, PA, Ryan Smith-Philadelphia, PAone sister , Helen O'dessa Gillis one brother , Isaac Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
