Deaconess Corine Wynder Roselle, daughter of the late Rachel Smith Wynder and John Alfred Wynder was born on October 15, 1934 in Norfolk, VA. She was the wife of the late Jacob H. Roselle. Corine peacefully departed her life Friday, July 27, 2018 at Norfolk Sentra Heart Hospital Norfolk, VA.
Corine accepted Christ at an early age at African Baptist Church, Cheriton, Virginia. When she moved to Pennsylvania, she joined Memorial Church of God in Christ until she returned back to Virginia.
"Mama Corine", as everyone affectionately called her, was educated in Northampton County School System. After graduating, Corine moved to Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. She was employed by Bryn Mawr College for over 40 years.
She loved to pray, read, and recite poems. She has a passionate love for cooking (especially homemade rolls); and helping people. She loved playing games with friends and sending out birthday cards to everyone. We will forever remember her, may her soul Rest In Peace.
She was a proud mother of two daughters: Sandra Morris, of Chesapeake, VA, Tonya (David) Porter of Simpsonville, SC; six grandchildren, Travis (Keyona) Wynder, Brittany Wynder, Denitra and Tiffany Morris, Janelle and David Porter, Jr; Four great grandchildren, Jayden, Chris, TJ, and Ken; Four siblings, Rev. John B. Wynder of Fairview, VA, Edna M. Harper of Salisbury, MD, Sarah V. Morris, of Cheriton, VA, and Booker T. (Carrie) Wynder of Cheriton, VA; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends whom she loved dearly.
