Corine Andrews Wynder was born on March 5, 1928 in Seaview, VA. She was the youngest daughter born to the late Milton Andrews, Sr. and Clara Andrews. She accepted Jesus Christ into her life at an early age and has been a lifelong member of African Baptist Church.
On October 15, 1947, she joined hands in holy matrimony with the late Edward Paige Wynder, Jr. Their union produced eight children: Thomas, James, Joyce Ann, Jerry, Larry, Patricia, Cynthia, and Gloria. They also raised their granddaughter, Sherrel.
Corine loved spending time with her family! Anytime we gathered together, it was a great time filled with laughter, her great tasting meals and baked goods. She especially enjoyed watching her great-grandchildren grow. In recent years, if you were in her presence, it was guaranteed she was going to share loving stories about Marli, Aubree, and Austin.
Corine was a very humble, patient, and kind hearted person. She would give her last to anyone in need. Just being in her presence alone brought love, happiness, and peace.
After a few weeks of ups and downs with her health, "Coriney", as she was affectionately called by a few, decided to take her rest. She passed away peacefully at Bayside Health & Rehabilitation Center in VA Beach, VA.
Corine is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wynder, Jr.; two sons, Thomas and James Wynder; and four grandsons, Anthony McDonald, Antwine McDonald, Charles Giddens, Jr., and Sylvester White, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory: five daughters, Joyce Ann McDonald of Meridian, MS; Patricia Giddens of Chesapeake, VA, Cynthia White (Sylvester) of White Plains, MD, Gloria Blake (Morgan, Sr) of Norfolk, VA and Sherrel Addison (Terrance) of Chester, VA; two sons, Jerry Wynder (Beverly) and Larry Wynder (Deborah), both of Durham, NC; and loving life partner of the late James Wynder, Judy Leeman of Half Moon Bay, CA. She also leaves to cherish her memories a host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
