George Robinson II (who preceded her in death). She was proceeded in
death also by four of her seven children, Theodore T. Reid Jr., Charles E. Reid, Doris Ann Reid and Richard R. Reid.
She leaves to mourn three of her children: son Choncie Linwood Reid (Doris Reid) and daughters Maggie Evelyn Reid and Dorothy Reid Williams, grandchildren Rodney Reid Williams, Dwyan Marquis Reid, William Blain Reid, John Floyd Reid, Theodore Thomas Reid, III, Theodora Tomasina Reid and Allyson Downes. She had three great-granddaughters Dallas Reid, Emily Reid and Makayla Marie Downes.
She attended Northampton County High School. She was a devoted
wife to Theodore T. Reid (who proceeded her in death) for over 45 years.
She was a hard worker and served in the Tankard household for over 20
years. Dorothy known as Dart or Little Woman loved to cook and set out
her crab pots. Dart had a love for education. While her children were
growing up she always spent and enjoyed time helping them with their
homework assignments. She loved her plants and always had a garden
growing out back. She enjoyed her quiet time sitting and crocheting.
Dorothy had a great love for family and friends. She loved shopping at
flea markets and yard sales. Her favorite saying was "I'M JUST TELLING IT LIKE IT IS".
Dorothy will be greatly missed. We humbly bow to the will of God. He
loves and takes us one by one to live with Him eternally.
