Emma Valina Morris, affectionately called "Sister" by close family and friends, was born on December 27, 1934 to the late Robert Wilson Morris and India Anna Smith Morris. On Sunday, Novermber 13, 2011 the Lord called our dear "Sister" to her eternal rest.
Emma received her eduacation in Northampton County, Virginia. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined the African Baptist Church.
Emma was a teenager when she moved to Philadelphia where she found employment at Bryn Mawr College for over forty years.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her daughter Doris Morris, granddaughter Ebonie Morris, great grandchildren Shania and Jayden, her sister Ida Beckham, a nephew Dante Beckham, two cousins who were sisters to her Obelia Wright and Corine Roselle, a very dear friend who was also like a sister to her Cleo Headen(Ernie), and a host of other cousins and special friends. Emma had one brother who preceded her in death Wilson Morris.
