Mr. Eugene "Pete" Jackson, 90, departed this life on Monday, October 16, 2023 at Willow Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He was born October 2, 1933 in Virginia to the Late George Ed Jackson and the Late Mary Elizabeth Mapp.

Gene, as he was affectionately known by his family, was educated in the Northampton County Public Schools.  After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army for 2 years.  Upon returning from the army in 1956, he made Philadelphia his home.  He retired there after over 30 years as a Valet Parking Attendant.

He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters: Sandra Davis (Dexter) of Bear, DE; Robin Culmer (Charles) of Lansdowne, PA; two grandchildren, Chloe' Culmer of Lansdowne, PA; Quinette Schmidt (Jonathan) of Westampton, NJ; two great grandchildren, Avery Schmidt & Marlei Schmidt of Westampton, NJ; two sisters, Alice Mapp of Virginia Beach, VA; Pauline Foreman (Eugene) of Norfolk, VA and a host of cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his daughter Thelma Hines and son Eugene Scott.

A visitation will be held Monday, October 23, 2023, 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm at Gray's Funeral Home, 618 Jefferson Ave., Cape Charles, Virginia.

The interment will be immediately following the visitation in the Cape Charles Community Cemetery.
