Obituary

Eula E. Joyner, daughter of the late Robert and Missouri Rousk Churchfull, was born on September 7, 1933 in North Carolina. She attended the public school system in her hometown. On Tuesday, June 1, 2010, Eula departed this life for an everlasting one in Glory.

Eula was married to Lloyd Joyner. No children were born to this union; however, Eula maintained motherly relationships with family and friends. A brother, Robert "Bud" Churchfull, predeceased her.

"Love" as she was affectionately known and called by most, accepted life as it presented itself. She loved her family and was a people's person. She enjoyed the game of baseball and adored cats.

"Love" joined the African Baptist Church in Cheriton where she was a faithful and dedicated member. She was a devoted member of Choir #1 and Chancel Choir prior to her illness. She loved the youth of the church and always had encouraging remarks for each of them. She was a spirited member not hesitating to express her joy, love for the Lord, the pastor and supportive of all members and all services. She was a joy to be around and her presence was always missed when she was not in the service. Everyone loved "Love"

Eula leaves to cherish loving memories: a sister, Mary Elizabeth Isurael of Norfolk, VA; an adopted son and daughter, Jeffery and Ruth Ames of Cheriton, VA; two nieces, J. Mondray Isurael, Norfolk, VA and Mary Elizabeth Isurael, Norwalk, CT; one great niece, Shayla Elizabeth Sanders, Norfolk, VA; a special friend, Gloria Hicks, Cedar Grove, VA, other relatives, friends and her entire African Baptist Church Family. Lovingly submitted, The Family
