Eva Smaw Watson was one of seven children born to the late Alfred and Elnora Stevens Smaw. Eva departed this life on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Chesapeake General Hospital.

Miss Eva was born, reared and received her formal education in Northampton County. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour and joined African Baptist Church in Cheriton, Virginia where she enjoyed serving on Choir II and the Missionary Circle until her health did not permit. She was a devoted and loyal member until her death.

Miss Eva was the widow of the late Alfred Watson. She was also predeceased by six siblings, John Smaw, Theron Smaw, Bruce Smaw, Ira Smaw Sisco, Louise Haughton and Margaret Smaw.

Miss Eva loved her family and friends. She will be remembered for her outgoing personality and loving smiles. She leaves to cherish her memories: three nephews, Charles Smaw, Ronald and Kevin Smaw; one niece, Abrin Stevens, a devoted special great niece, Aulandrea Harris, a devoted special cousin, Clarence Smaw and a host of other great nieces, great nephews, cousins, friends, the Heritage Acres community and her African Baptist Church family.
