Evangeline J. Perry daughter of the late Walton P and Violet Pitchford Jefferson was born on March 25, 1924 in Cape Charles VA. Evangeline affectionately known as Vangie surrounded by loved ones entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 3, 2015.
She was educated in Northampton County and furthered her education at Virginia State College and Norfolk State University. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church Cape Charles, VA, where she was often seen melodically tinkling the pearly white keys.
Loving memories are left in the hearts of Her daughters: Alvanette, Lelia, Irene, Maureen, Evangeline(Cissy) and Valerie, Her sons: Leslie, Steven and Douglas(Crickett), Son in Law, Frank, 16 Grandchildren, 23 Great-Grandchildren, 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren, a loving cousin, Alice Mabry of Lynchburg VA, and close family friend, Odessa.
Vangie was preceded in death by Brother, William, Sons: Walton and Carlos, Sons-in-law, Jimmy and Walter, Grandchild, Robert Jr. Great Grandchild, Jameisa.
