Obituary
Mrs. Fannie Bernell Bailey Townsend, 77, of Cape Charles died Friday, January 5, 2007, at Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, Virginia.
Born in Cape Charles, she was the daughter of the late James Albert and Tobitha Knight Bailey.
Mrs. Townsend was a member of Ebenezer African Methodist Episcopal Church in Cape Charles.
She was predeceased by her husband, Cornelius Moses "Mack Neal" Townsend, Sr. and is survived by her five children, Winston of Baltimore, Md., Cornelius "Brother" of Cape Charles, VA, Vivian Burton (Kenneth) of Cape Charles, VA, Larry (Vizel) of Hampton, VA, and Kevin of Cape Charles, VA; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held Friday evening, January 12, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Gray's Funeral Home in Cape Charles, VA.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon on January 13, at Ebenezer AME Church by Pastor Vanessa Copeland. Internment will be in Ebenezer AME Church Cemetery.
