Florence Cristine Braxton went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 26, 2017. She was born July 20, 1958 in Northampton County to James and Jessie Braxton.

Florence loved playing music and her LGBT Community. She was a member of Tidewater Community Church of Christ and played the piano for several different churches in the community. She was loved by all.

Florence was married to Rosalind Braxton in April 2012. They have two sons, RaHeem and RaQuion Braxton.

Florence is survived by her parents, James and Jessie Braxton, Cheriton, VA, one sister, Sandra Braxton Robinson (Terry), Cape Charles, VA, three brothers, James, Jr., Cape Charles, VA, Jeffrey, Eastville, VA and Rodney (Tawanda), Cheriton, VA. Florence also shared her life with tons of nieces, nephews and lots and lots of friends .

Florence will be greatly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Tidewater UCC Christian Church United, 6049 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, VA at 7:00 p.m.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Cape Charles Community Cemetery, Cape Charles, VA. with Pastor Laurie Madison, Officiating
