Kate Lee Blake's Obituary
Kate Lee Blake, 87, formerly of Cheriton, VA passed away Sept. 28, 2015 at Heritage Hall Virginia Beach Nursing Facility.
She was employed for 24 years and retired from the former Northampton-Accomack Memorial Hospital, Nassawadox, VA. in the dietary department.
She was a member of African Baptist Church, Cheriton, VA. where she served faithfully as a member of Choir # 1 and Chancel Choir and a Deaconess.
She was predeceased by her parents: Carlton and Kate Giddens and four brothers. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 67 years, Maurice Blake, five children: Veronica Church (Warren, deceased), Maureen Faison (William, Jr.), Maurice T. Blake, Jr. (Gail), Debra Barner (Kenneth), and Morgan Blake, Sr. (Gloria); 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and numerous other family members.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015 at African Baptist Church, Cheriton, VA. Interment was in the church cemetery.
