Kate began her life's journey on August 11, 1918 in Virginia. She was the daughter of the late William and Essie Luker Robinson. On sunday morning, April 15, 2012, this most beautiful flower and precious jewel was called forth by the holy angels to be presented before the Lord Most High-to rest forever in the warmth of His loving arms.
On July 29, 1950 Kate was united in matrimony to the late Preston Spady, Sr.
Ma Kate enjoyed giving the Lord her best. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age. Even though she was unable to attend vhurch, she still would not stop worshipping and praising God. At the metion of the name of Jesus, she would respond wiht uplifted hands, a cry out to HIM,or prise in her own way. Her door was always opened to many. Her home was known as a "House of Love". Everyone touched by her life felt love and received selfless giving, rivaled by few. She jnew to put others ahead of herself with great joy and witout reservation. She often characterized by family and friends, saved and unsaved; as an example of what a true Christian should be.
We mourn and cherish our mother and grandmother's memories, but rejoice in her passing and thank God for allowing her to be part odfour lives.
