Katherine Lucille Davis was born to the late Clinton and Lottie Robinson on January 17, 1944 in Northampton County  Virginia.   She departed this life May 9, 2022 at Shore Health and Rehab in Parksley, Virginia.

Katherine was reared on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and was educated in the Northampton County Public School system.  She was married to the late Joe Davis and as a young woman, she relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for several years before returning to her hometown.  She enjoyed taking care of children in her home.  Katherine was very family-oriented and enjoyed spending time with her loved ones.  During holidays and birthdays, she loved to invite family members and friends to her home to eat and she gave them gifts of love.  If there was a bereaved family in the community, Katherine made sure to be a blessing to them.

Katherine accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age and grew up attending Mount Sinai Gospel Tabernacle in Fairview, Virginia.  In her later years, she was a faithful member of Holy Lighthouse Apostolic Church in Cheriton, Virginia where she served as a  church mother.  She often sponsored programs where she would invite people from the community to participate and she had a special place in her heart for children to know the Lord.  Katherine endured many trials and tribulations during her life, but she remained steadfast in her faith.  She would often say "the Lord raised me up in the right direction" and that he sent her to "teach the people."  She would boldly sing and testify of God's goodness to her neighbors and everyone she met.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one daughter, Betsy Davis.  Her memory will be cherished by her daughters: Theresa Davis and Martha Harris, both of Onancock, Virginia; her grandsons: Mahki Collins, Malachi Collins and Ma'Xiyah Hill; one brother, Roger Robinson of Northampton County, VA; four sisters; Geraldine Moorefield of Parksley, VA, Bertha Dillard of Cape Charles, VA, Norine Robinson of Queens, NY and Odessa Jordan of Pennsauken, NJ; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and the Heritage Acres Cape Charles Community.
