Katie Mae Williams Carolina (known as Kate) was born to the late Dorothy Williams Thompson, on June 19,1926, in New Bern, North Carolina, where she also attended the area public schools. She departed this life to go home with the Lord on May 28, 2013 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Nassawadox, Virginia.
Kate was a fun loving person who loved the Lord and was loved by so many. She could always make you laugh; even during the time of her illness she could make you laugh or smile with a joke or jester. That was just the way she was in life. During her illness, there were times that it seemed that she was talking to herself, but when you asked her who she was talking to, she would always reply, "I'm just talking to the Lord.
