Deacon Levi Doggett, Sr., son of the late Carl and Lizzie Trice Doggett was born September 3, 1923 in Scotland, North Carolina. He was the youngest of nine siblings all of who have preceded him in death.
Our father was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Wynn, a son, Charles and grandson, Edward.
Deacon Doggett accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Mount Sinai Gospel Tabernacle Church under the leadership of Bishop Estella D. Smith. He served faithfully as a Sunday School Teacher, Chairman of the Deacon Board and Sunday School Superintendent. He confessed salvation, sanctification and being filled with the Holy Ghost and was respectful to his faith. He remained a faithful and dedicated member of his church.
Our dad was a devoted father and grandfather who loved his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, eating seafood and helping others through his expert plumbing skills.
He leaves to cherish fond memories with his son, Levi Jr. (Wyomie), five daughters: LaVerne Jones (Wayne), Elizabeth Jenifer (Eugene), Mary Ann, Juanita and Annie Joyner (Ruffin); ten grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives, friends and his Mount Sinai family.
We will fondly remember his smile, laughter and spirit.
Loving submitted,
The Family
