Lillie Mae Ruffin Robinson was born to Floyd Ruffin Sr. and Thelma Lee Ruffin on May 19, 1947 in Fairview, VA. She went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, Virginia.
Lillie accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Bishop Estella D. Smith of Mount Sinai Gospel Tabernacle. She was a graduate of Northampton High School in 1966. She attended Norfolk State University, moved to Norwalk, Connecticut and was employed by the IBM Company. She later moved to California where she met and married Vance Robinson. To this union one child was born, Eric Robinson. Later she was stricken with a lengthy illness and resided at G.F. Horne in Onancock, Virginia.
She leaves cherished memories of her to her son Eric Robinson(Tameka), her parents Thelma Lee and Floyd Ruffin, a grandson, three sisters Maggie Holley(Vincent, Sr.), Gloria Denise Bush(Vernon), and Shirley Galloway, three brothers Floyd Ruffin Jr., Pastor Cornell Ruffin(Senora), Bishop Irvin Jackson(Evora), one sister-in-law Sandra Ruffin, one brother-in-law Dr. Clifford Terrell, two great aunts Mother Ella Gillis and Elder Mary Bracey, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by three sisters Ida Mae Robinson, Mosella Ruffin, and Jean Ruffin Terrell, and one brother Pastor Anthony Ruffin.
