Marvin Thomas Smith beloved son of the late Helen D. and George E. Smith entered into eternal bliss on the evening of May 28, 2015 at the Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA., with his family by his side.
"Man Tee" as he was so lovingly and affectionately called by family and friends was born on August 4, 1937 in Cheriton, VA.
Man Tee was formally educated in the Northampton County School System. He gave his life to Christ in February of 2000 and joined the African Baptist Church.
Desiring to fulfill his heart's desire, Man Tee married the love of his life Theresa Griffin and to this blissful union two wonderful sons were born Michael and Kevin. Kevin preceded him in death.
Acknowledging the need and wanting to be a provider for his family. He embarked upon a trade that he loved, which was being a mechanic.
Man Tee was employed by the Exxon Service Station in Cheriton, VA. A job he held for many years until his health would not allow him, but even when he was not formally working, his love for working on cars could be seen as he taught his son Mike and other neighborhood boys tricks of the trade.
Those who remain to carry on his legacy are his wife Theresa G. Smith. Son Michael (Leola) Nassawadox, VA; Grandson, Antonio Smaw. Two sisters, Mary Ann Powell, Richmond, VA; Willie Williams, Fairview, VA; Four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; two Goddaughters Danielle Moses and Princess Ty; two Godsons, James and Jerone Baker.
