Patricia Ann Smith (affectionately known as Baby Diddy and Diddy) transitioned to her heavenly home on Sunday October 13, 2013 with her daughter holding her hand. She was the biological daughter of the late Harry Spady and Mary Smith-Gray. Patricia was born in Cape Charles on September 12, 1948 and as an infant was welcomed into the arms of her Ma Ma, the late Minerva Smith Nottingham-Meecham. She predeceased by her sistter, Sharon Meecham-Mack.
Pat grew up in a loving Christian environment with her sister and a cousin, Ulysses Smith (Butch), whom she thought of as a brother. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church where her Ma Ma was a loyal memeber and made certain she was there most Sundays.
Patricia was a graduate of the public schools of Northampton County. She continued her education at the Northampton-Accomack LPN School. Over the years, she recieved her Associate Degree in Nursing from the Eastern Shore Community College and later her Registered Nurse license and Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Old Dominion University/Norfolk State University. Pat was a loving foster parent to children of Northampton County.
