Obituary

Mr. Raymond  Gunter, Jr., 83 of Townsend, Virginia passed away  Monday, February 15, 2021  at his residence. He was the son of the late  Raymond  Gunter, Sr. and the late Julia Virginia Nottingham . He was the  husband of the late Irene Ames Gunter and the father of Raymond Gunter, III.

Raymond attended the public schools of Northampton County and was employed in highway construction until he retired.  He was a member of African Baptist Church in Cheriton Virginia.
A visitation will be held Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 12:30 pm at the church . Funeral services will be conducted at  1  o'clock pm . Wearing of mask and social distancing will be expected.
