On March 7,2011 God called for an angel and Ruth answered his call. On this day, she departed this earth and entered the Gates of Heaven.

Ruth was a resident of Cape Charles, VA and was born in Accomack County. Lucille graduated from the Lincoln Institute of Practical Nursing. She was very active in the community. She was a former member of the Voters League, the Rescue Squad.

Lucille was a kind hearted, compassionate and a loving person that blessed everyone she met with her signature smile. She touched many lives no matter their race, color or creed.

Lucille leaves to cherish her memories one neice, Estella Young, one nephew Edward Parks Jr. ten great nieces, three great nephews a special daughter, Dee Ewell Pierce a special granddaughter, Cheyenne who predeceased her, a host of great-great neices, nephews and cousins.
