Samuel "Sam" Tamer Robinson, husband of the late Mary Ellen Robinson was born January 24, 1947 to the late Nelson and Mary Hallett Robinson in Townsend, Virginia
The Journey
Sam was born, reared and educated in Northampton County, Virginia.
He was the youngest of four boys. He was also predeceased by his three brothers, Nelson, Jr., George and James Robinson.
Sam was employed for many years as a farm worker with the Scott Brothers of Townsend, VA. He was also employed at Kane-Miller Factory. He was employed with Bayshore Concrete as a Janitor until he retired. As a child, Sam joined First Baptist Church, Capeville, VA. He was always a happy person, smiling and willing to help anyone with his pickup truck. He especially enjoyed taking care of his late friend, James "Boo" Stratton and his uncle-in-law, Johnnie Henderson.
The Omega
Late Friday afternoon, August 18, 2017, Sam looked towards heaven and made his final trip to his eternal heavenly home where he was welcomed by his wife, mom, dad and his siblings. He will be missed by the many people he enjoyed being with and took time to help.
He leaves cherished memories with his four step children,
Thomas of Cape Charles, Cassandra Nottingham of New Jersey, Hope and Caroline Beasley of Newport News, VA; one aunt-in-law, Mrs. Dorethia Robinson, one uncle-in-law, Johnnie Henderson; a special friend and caregiver, Theresa Morgan, other special friends, John Morris and Wayne Fisher; his cousins Isaiah and Beatrice Robinson, Sylvia Hopkins, Shirley Mitchell Christian and a host of other relatives and friends.
So long Sam, take your rest, you will be missed...

The visitation was Friday evening, August 25, 2017 from 6:00p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gray's Funeral Home, Cape Charles, Virginia.
Funeral services was Saturday, August 26, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Capeville, Virginia at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kelvin F. Jones, Officiating. There was a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
The interment was in the Church Cemetery.
