The Alpha: Virginia Bell was born August 2, 1924 in Northampton County, VA to the late Robert and Virginia Fenderson Bell. She departed this life January 18, 2016 at Jewish Home and Hospital in Bronx, New York.
The Life: Virginia was educated in the Northampton County Public School system and later moved to Manhattan, New York and later moved to Bronx, New York where she raised her children and helped with her grandchildren.
Virginia's favorite song was Go Tell It on the Mountain.
Legacy: Virginia leaves to cherish precious memories her daughter Pamela Garrett, Bronx, NY, granddaughter Tiffany German, Bronx, NY, one grandson Larry Humphrey, Petersbury, VA, three great-grandchildren and one sister-in-law Kathleen S. Bell. Virginia was predeceased in death by her children, Eugene Bell, Larry Bell and Shedrick McClenton, her siblings, George Bell, Richard Bell, Willie Bell, Andrew Bell, Annie Nicks and Nellie Bell and one granddaughter Chinquita Humphrey, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services was held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Gray's Funeral Home, Cape Charles, VA.
Interment in the Cape Charles Community Cemetery, Cape Charles, Virginia.
