William Lewis Ayer departed his earthly life at 1:30 a.m. on May 21,2015 at the Peninsula Regional Center in Salisbury, Maryland.
William was the son of the late Laura Bland Ayers and Robert Abraham Taylor. He joined St. Stephen's church at a very early age and was the only male member of the Junior Choir for several years.
He graduated from Cape Charles combined school and found gainful employment at Perdue, Kaine and Miller, Edgerton's seafood and lastly, the town of Cape Charles until 1999 when he relocated to Salisbury, Maryland.
Those left to cherish memories are: sons, William Lamont Ayers(Martina) and Deveron M. Fisher. Six grandchildren; siblings: Althea Mendoza; Betty Beech, Robin Joyner, Robert Wayne Ayers and Charles Ayers; many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, friends and devoted and cherished friend, Shirley Hunter.
