Early Saturday, January 7, 2017; God sent his angel for William R. Spady, Sr. at his home in Cheriton, VA, at the age of 77.
William was affectionately known as Pee Wee, Pop, or by his little man as "My Pop Pop". Pee Wee was born December 25, 1939 to the late Frederick Spady, Sr. and Lola Mae Reid Spady. Pee Wee was well loved and known to always speak his mind; good or bad. He loved fishing and playing baseball in his younger days. He also loved gardening and planting flowers. In his later years, he loved to be in his garage. He most enjoyed showing others how to work or fix something. He would always say, "just listen to me and you will never go wrong". In his later years, he was wheelchair bound but that did not stop him from riding up and down the lane. He would visit neighbors and just talk with his little man DJ, who always made up a wild story. Pee Wee was always tickled by this.
Pee Wee was employed at Bailey Store & Snack Bar. He worked for Bayshore Concrete for 40 years as a crane operator. His crane was named by him as Ms. Lorraine and she retired with him.
Pee Wee was a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Pee Wee leaves to cherish his memories; his loving wife of 20 years, Dianna Spady; two stepsons that he called his own, Dewayne (Erica) and Robert Palmer, his daughter, Brenda Spady of Birdsnest, VA; his sons William Spady, Jr (Stephanie) of Dover, DE, Gerald Spady (Colette) of Seafood, DE; grandchildren, DeWayne(DJ), Breanna Spady, William Spady (Yasmeen), Andre Spady (Krystina); his great grandchildren, Jaylen Spady, Brooklyn Spady, and William Spady, IV (on the way); an aunt, Ivy Brown; his nephews Rev.
