A lifelong resident of Cape Charles, Virginia, Thomas George Godwin has made an indelible mark and historical impact on Virginia's Eastern Shore. He has enjoyed an over 60 year career as a licensed funeral director and mortician and got his start working alongside his mother, Alston Joynes Godwin, who was his mentor and business partner. He graduated from Eckels College of Mortuary Science in 1959. He has a long, lasting legacy in Cape Charles as the owner and operator of the longest, continuous funeral home in the area.

Juanita B. Godwin is a pillar of the Cape Charles Community, being very active in community affairs. She spent 30 years as an educator in the public schools of Cape Charles and has been affiliated with Gray's Funeral Home for almost 60 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia State College (now known as Virginia State University) and a Master's Degree in Secondary Education from Old Dominion University. She holds many memberships and offices in civic and community organizations, as well as being a lifetime member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

A native of Jersey City, NJ, Patrina Felts has been a resident of Hampton Roads for the past 5 years. A recent graduate of Tidewater Community College with a degree in Funeral Service, Patrina prides herself in her dedication to this work. Honesty, integrity, and her firm faith are three things that she utilizes daily. Patrina has passed both parts the National Board Exam and is looking forward to becoming fully licensed in this profession. Under the tutelage of Mr. Thomas Godwin and many others, she is sure to become one of the best.
